Amanda: This entire album sounded vaguely familiar but I have never actually heard of Blood, Sweat, and Tears.  This album was really enjoyable; the guys have a really nice and easy feeling about them.  You can tell that the band loves the music just by the way they play the instruments and breeze through the melodies.  Psychedelia is kind of dying out by now so bands are coming up with really interesting ways to be unique.  This makes for intriguing albums.  I am enjoying the farewell to the sixties!

  1. This is certainly accessible, you can get it in one listen because there isn't that much there to get. David Clayton-Thomas is very good, I'd say he carries most of the album. "God Bless the Child" and "Spinning Wheel" impressed me. The rest was pretty good as I enjoy a horn section. But their debut album with Al Kooper is much more adventurous and substantial, and strangely absent from the book.
