Goddamnit, Nick Caves makes me feel things. I was not ready for this on a Sunday morning. He wrote this after his break up with PJ Harvey, and the album's entire tone reflects it.
This is completely different than Murder Ballads, but just as haunting. It's incredible how versatile Nick Cave is. Oh, and is there a more depressing song in the universe than "Where Do We Go Now But Nowhere?" If there is, I am not emotionally stable enough to hear it.
Amazing vocals, arrangements, and lyrics. Heartbreakingly beautiful.
