Like the previous entry, this album features an artist from a well known band striking out on their own. It's very admirable and brave, so naturally I am going to reward their efforts by saying that the solo album is not as good as their previous band's discography.
Of course, the Pixies are a tough act to follow, so this is to be expected. My biggest complaint would be that it felt a little bit scattered. 22 tracks is a lot, and because most of them were so short I had a tough time getting a grip on this album.
But there are still some great tracks on here and Frank Black is amazingly talented.
