When people ask me what kind of music I like, I tend to respond with "angsty female rock." I need to have a stock phrase locked and loaded, otherwise I will forget every album/song/musical note I've ever heard. Anyway, this album falls under my self-proclaimed beloved category.
I really enjoyed Shirley Manson's vocals, and the gritty feeling of the songs. I think "Stupid Girl" is probably the most famous track on here, but my favorites were "A Stroke of Luck" and "Vow." There were other songs that were less impressive, but the entire album is worth a listen.
What a misleading band name.
