Well this is certainly an album that grows on you. I wasn't so impressed by "Bury Me Deep in Love" which felt very 80s. There are a couple of other tracks here that are just too firmly entrenched in the 80s, but the other songs make up for it by being refreshing and catchy.
I can forgive a lot when your band takes its name from a John Wyndham novel, which in this case means excusing some cheesy 80s songs. The lyrics are thoughtful and I enjoyed the vocals.
But don't relax just yet. I have a feeling the next album is Bad.
