Like many bands, this one had a problem with infighting. Songwriters Bob Mould and Greg Hart were feuding during the recording, and Mould famously told Hart that he would never have more than half the songs on a Husker Du album. He was right, and moreover, I enjoyed Mould's songs much more than Hart's songs.
There actually aren't any horrible tracks on this album, but Mould's songs are much catchier. They actually worked really well together; it's a shame that they let egos, drugs, etc. get in the way.
4 stars, even though the album photo looks like it was taken at a Real Housewives reunion.
RATING: 4/5
