So yesterday I was in a deep lethargic state and today I slept in until 11:15. The feeling is beginning to set in again (it is 4:38 pm after all) so I am going to be short and sweet again so I can completely veg out.
Derek and the Dominos was a rock band formed by Eric Clapton (a familiar face!). Clapton was in love with George Harrison's wife and "Layla" was a song inspired by his unrequited love. So romantic!!! Sorry, my girlishness is showing. Anyway, it was a pretty good album, which was unexpected because I had never heard of this band in my life. It was some nice blues rock for a soon to be lazy afternoon.
RATING: 3/5
If ever we need proof how much generational music is, the comment 'I've never heard of this band' has to be it.
ReplyDelete(Old guy sighs, shakes head at lack of taste of younger people) Another of my all time favourite tracks .. the title track - has been played to death by me in my time .. and you need the album, because the single misses out the instrumental bit .. der de-de der der dummmm...

I guess I will be doing the same thing when I am your age and people don't get Taylor Swift (that comment is mainly meant to horrify you).
