Our introduction to 1998 is actually a bootleg album from a 1966 Bob Dylan concert. It's strange listening to music from that era again after being so fully immersed in the 90s. I missed it!

The first half of this album is Dylan alone on stage, performing an acoustic set. He then moves into a more electric sound, which the audience does not take to very kindly. I couldn't really make out what the hecklers were yelling, but Dylan was unruffled by it all. I mean, he was probably on drugs at the time, but it's still impressive how little he was affected by the haters.

But there are always haters when art evolves. This album certainly marks an evolution in folk music. It's also the closest you will get to attending a concert in 2020.

RATING: 4/5
