Welcome to 1995! I expect every 1995 album to respect my birth year by being tolerable, but we will see how that goes. So far, we are off to a good start.
After Kurt Cobain decided to check out early, Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl recorded this entire album by himself, under the name the Foo Fighters. This would be an impressive feat even if the album was of a mediocre caliber, but this actually turned out to be pretty great. He could have easily just copied Nirvana's sound, but he managed to make something fairly original. At the very least, it's slightly more cheerful
I'm not too familiar with the quality of the Foo Fighters once the band is expanded beyond a solo act. But I don't think they are featured on the List anymore, which might be indicative of their future quality.
RATING: 4/5
