A few entries ago we had Talvin Singh blending techno music with Asian and Indian sounds. I would say I preferred this album over Singh's, but that could be because Singh prepared me for this style.
I really liked the lyrics to "The Pilgrim," which was definitely the most engaging track of the album. Other times the album kind of settled into being background music, and became less interesting.
Still, the album demonstrates enough range to be more entertaining than your average downtempo entry. It really got obnoxious at the end though.
RATING: 3/5
